Night bar the Bottle
The Oudebrugsteeg is a lively alley in the centre of Amsterdam where the old city started centuries ago, nearby Dam-square, Central Station and the red-light district. Here you find Night Bar The Bottle - well-known since 1920 - situated in a historical building of more than 400 years old. While you sit at the bar or on the terrace all nationalities pass by: this is where the cosmopolitan character of Amsterdam and the famous Dutch ‘gezelligheid’ meet each other. Both locals and tourists feel at home in the Bottle, where you can enjoy a drink and a joint or a cigarette at the same time, and listen to the best music of the seventies, eighties or nineties.
The Bottle combines the typical Amsterdam bar atmosphere with a broad supply of sports events. Two big television screens show the daily highlights of different kinds of sports: live Football games from all over the world, Rugby, F1, Moto GP, Tennis, Darts, Snooker, Etc. The agenda on this website keeps you in touch with the latest games and schedules.
Besides our draft beer Amstel and Heineken, we have a variety of drinks and even serve the notorious Absinthe in traditional style. And because of our WiFi-hotspot or our own computer customers can have access to internet, free of charge and as long as they wish.
And the icing on the cake are the opening hours: when all bars close, we stay open till late at night.
